Couldn’t agree more… the trick is to recognise when you’re making them, and in turn assess if you should be making them. :0)
We can’t ask questions forever… we need to know when we have enough information to get started.
dealing with assumption is the biggest challenge. As you said human can not question every time so we have to assume things & testing is opposite to assumption. As a tester, one should be careful while making them & there are few factors which tells me that assumptions could be dangerous or safe (BTW I have to come up with those factors, it’s challenge given by James :-))
